Ground Control Station

Sandman

SANDMAN enables ATAK-integrated control and distributed UAS awareness, reconnaissance, and strike. Built for an ATAK-centered battle rhythm, MANTRAS and SANDMAN distribute UAS telemetry, mission points, and shareable outputs across teams – turning UAS from a single-operator feed into a networked capability.

Key Capabilities

SANDMAN is designed for fast establish, operate, displace, and re-establish cycles. The man-portable 30L backpack configuration allows operators to set up a fully operational ground control station in under 3 minutes, making it ideal for mobile expeditionary teams.

With communication ranges up to 90 km in portable configurations and 250 km with relay support in static deployment, SANDMAN provides the reach needed for deep operations.

As the command hub for the MANTRAS network, SANDMAN seamlessly integrates with ATAK and other C2/BM and pushes UAS awareness, telemetry, and mission products into the Common Operational Picture. SATCOM compatibility ensures connectivity in denied environments.

Nightmare FPV digital can be launched locally while the operator is positioned hundreds or thousands of kilometers away. This decouples launch location, RF emission point, and operator position, enabling centralized control, distributed launch sites, and integration with higher-echelon C2.
